About Southgate Foundation

Southgate Media Foundation is a Non-profit organization. It provides an alternate media platform for the Indian diaspora in the United States. This platform allows them to develop and distribute digital content. The aim is to address the concerns and aspirations of communities not adequately addressed by traditional media.

In particular, we will be prioritizing under-served communities including immigrants, minorities, students, women, and working professionals. In today’s challenging circumstances for these communities, we believe there is an urgent need to share information based on science. This information should be guided by rational thought and free from ideological biases.

To this end, Southgate Media Foundation will focus on these core principles and guidelines –

  1. Promote alternate media to amplify the voices ignored by traditional media.
  2. Educate the public on health and medical sciences to combat disinformation and distortions.
  3. Raise awareness about the genetic and environmental factors contributing to disease risks.
  4. Organize teach-ins on constitutional rights and U.S. immigration laws for students.
  5. Foster scientific thinking and critical reasoning skills among students.
  6. Create engaging digital media like podcasts, to inspire and captivate youth.
  7. Advocate for socioeconomic, political equity, and class-related issues.
  8. Tackle public concerns and political dynamics through content creation.
  9. Produce progressive literature, arts, and theater that challenge societal norms.
  10. Exclude electoral politics, religious/spiritual activities, and commercial films from the Foundation’s scope.
  11. Organize media-driven events that shape public opinion in support of science, the arts, and human rights.
  12. Offer a platform for the Indian diaspora to connect. This platform allows them to engage in global social issues. It also addresses cultural matters affecting the worldwide community.
  13. Uphold principles of diversity, secularism, and pluralism.
